BroomeJenkins is a small team that values the benefit of collaboration. We aim to form part of a wider client team, and draw on a network of other associates including Architects, Engineers and material specialists. Collectively, we have a range of complimentary experiences and insights that relate to the contract furniture sector in general, and the workplace in particular. Our aim is to be experts at what we do, and work with the best clients.
Having had the benefit of a long and varied career, working on everything from consumer electronics to aircraft interiors and even architectural projects, when Barry Jenkins started BroomeJenkins in 2003, his aim was to combine his experience of designing products for manufacture, with an understanding of how to make different types of environments work. Throughout Barry’s career, industrially manufactured furniture has been a constant aspect of his work and something that comes naturally to him and his long-term collaborator, Julian Evans. Julian and Barry have worked together since 2004. Julian is central to BroomeJenkins’ design capability. He has a considerable technical knowledge which forms an essential foundation for all aspects of their project work.
BroomeJenkins’ main associate and collaborator today is Alys Bryan. She works independently on her own projects and is a highly capable designer and communicator. Her skills and knowledge of upholstery and the hospitality sector complements Julian and Barry’s skills and approach.
They are actively engaged in the Design Community, supporting education establishments, providing graduate and undergraduate placements and internships
