As the products we design relate to different environments, including the workplace and the public realm, we are also involved in the design of different types of spaces. Our aim is to improve the way a space functions, the messages it conveys and the qualities it reflects whether it is an office, airport or museum.
Working with community groups and local authorities, we have been involved strategically to help create economic recovery through programmes of physical urban renewal. Understanding the importance of local character and regional diversity, we have been involved with projects aimed at tourism, heritage and culture. We can help to define a sense of place and create destinations.
Our technical skills range from urban and product design, through to the design of information systems and brand application. In addition we run public consultation events and have experience of Public Sector bids, plus the wider issues of managing and regenerating local communities and towns.
Operating between product design and architecture, we work with other specialists in this field including Architects, Engineers, Landscapers and Public Art Consultants.
Recent work in this area includes the Portal Project for Liverpool John Lennon Airport in collaboration with world-renowned illustrator – John McFaul, feasibility study for a new visitor information centre at Cheshire Oaks Retail Park, and the Midhurst Town Centre Improvement Study for Chichester District Council.
